Dr. Greg Hupp obtained
his Ph.D. in Clinical Health Psychology and Behavioral Medicine from the
University of North Texas. He has training in cardiac psychology, pain
management, biofeedback, and neuropsychology. He is one of only a handful of
specially trained neuropsychologists in the assessment of blind and visually
impaired individuals.
Dr. Hupp's clinical experience varies from Alzheimer's and
Asperger's to Tourette's and Vascular Dementia and most disorders in-between. He
specializes in clinical neuropsychology and holds full membership in the
National Academy of Neuropsychology and the American Psychological Association.
He often works with people with disabilities, learning disorders, memory loss,
and foster children. Dr. Hupp has been in the Central Texas community for almost
20 years, starting with his service as a Gulf War-era veteran stationed at Fort
Hood and continuing as a private citizen, having obtained his education at
Central Texas College, the University of Central Texas (now TSU- Killeen), and
the University of North Texas. He has served on the board of the Copperas Cove
Chamber of Commerce and coached many children in our community.
Dr. Hupp has
recently added to his experience by completing training and certifications in
neurofeedback, Brain Gym, and equine (horse)-assisted psychotherapy.
Beate Medina is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Marriage & Family Therapist Associate. She is also listed as an EMDR clinician (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) through EMDRIA.
Beate received her MS in Counseling/Psychology through Tarleton State University - Central Texas in 2007. Since 2006 she has been working with active duty military and their families. Her work included assisting individuals, couples and families with issues related to combat stress, complex trauma, traumatic brain injury, adjustment, readjustment, attachment, addiction, guilt and grief. She has been a part of the military community since 1998. Beate has also experience with different relaxation techniques, biofeedback and psychological testing. Her approach focuses on addressing body, mind and spirit. The client’s individual experience, heritage and belief system are important elements. She assists clients working on their goals that are necessary to continue their life journey.
We all are on a life journey coming from different walks of life. Sometimes we get to a cross way or ending up in a dead end; sometimes we go up hill or down hill, sometimes our road is wide and smooth or we are on a narrow, windy, rocky path. I cannot decide for you, which way to go, but I can explore with you the options you have to make changes for your life to continue on the journey you want for yourself.
Cristy Dobbs is our
office assistant who provides front-line interaction with our clients. She
brings experience from her previous work in a family practice medical office.
Cristy also fills the role of our horse specialist for our EAP/therapeutic
horseback riding program.
Kathy Smart is a
Licensed Specialist in School Psychology. Kathy obtained her Master's Degree
from Tarleton State University - Central Texas. She specializes in the
assessment and behavioral treatment of children with learning disorders, ADHD,
and other emotional problems. Her experience has been serving at-risk children
in the public school system, families with special needs children, and
emotionally disturbed children.
Lisa Nunnally is a
Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor
(LCDC) who serves adults with substance abuse, children and their families
working with Child Protective Services. She obtained her Master's Degree in
Counseling Psychology from Tarleton State University - Central Texas.
Suzanne Goen is a Licensed
Professional Counselor who works with families and their children. Suzanne
graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Science in
Education. With over twenty years in public school education, Suzanne
diversified with a Kindergaren Endorsement and a Special Education K-12
Endorsement.
She currently works as an assistant principal at a local elementary
school. Suzanne is also a candidate of the Doctoral Ed.d program at Tarleton
State University, where she received her Master of Education in Counseling and a
Post Master's Principal's Certification. She and her family are long-time
residents of the Central Texas area and have been involved in numerous community
activities that have touched the lives of many in our community over the years.
